Addressing the Problem . . .We have been volunteering with local shelters for the past few years, helping the staff find homes for adoptable dogs. These poor guys end up in animal control facilities through no fault of their own, usually they are picked up as strays or abandoned by their owners for financial or personal reasons, or they are the results of random or careless breeding. They are confused and scared, but still eager to please. They greet us with excited barks and wags and licks, and when they come home to the Ranch, they are introduced to the other Ranch Residents. They run, play and learn the social skills needed to make them valued members of their new families.
Rehoming Your Pet?
We understand that sometimes life's circumstances come between you and your pet. Unfortunately, the Ranch does not accept personal surrenders. All of our Residents come to us through our shelter network. Accepting a personal surrender condemns a shelter dog to euthanasia. We will be happy to try and assist you in rehoming your pet while it remains in the home with you, but we cannot bring him/her to the Ranch.
Effective November 13, 2014, Ruf Creek Ranch was accepted as a partner to a South Carolina 501(c) rescue. We are the North Carolina affiliate and are pleased to be able to give tax receipts for your donations. At the present time, everything we do is subsidized by generous donations from people like you. We accept all sorts of assistance - financial, volunteer work, donations in kind (food, bedding, flea and tick meds, etc.) and will provide sponsors with receipts, as a charitable donation.

Our Rescue Partners . . .
Many of our Residents find their permanent homes in the Northeast.
Our Residents would not be able to head North to their new homes if not for the generous efforts of the pilots in the Pilots N Paws program. This dedicated group of men and women donate their time and their planes to pick up our pups and fly them all over the country to their rescues and new homes.
