Some of our Ranch Residents are lucky enough to be in foster care with families who are willing to take the time and teach them the behaviors they need to  become valued family members with their forever families!

  This gorgeous girl is Lilly Sue.  She's about 2 years old and was pulled from a very high-kill shelter where she was abandoned because she's a lover, not a hunter.  She's crate trained, totally housebroken, great with other dogs and kids, and ignores cats.  Lilly Sue is already spayed and is current on her shots and deworming.  She's being treated (orally) for heartworms and her medications will go with her.  Lilly Sue would do best in a home with a fenced yard.   Please come meet her - you'll be SO happy you did!  Contact Susan - jdodson5@nc.rr.com

 MARLOWE is a gorgeous boy, already neutered, between 2-3 years old.  He's a lab/plott hound mix, currently about 85-90 lbs, housebroken and gentle as a lamb.  He has learned to use the doggy-door at the foster's house, and gets along great with her smaller dogs.  Marlowe is current on all shots and deworming.

BETTYE is a gorgeous 10 month old lab/pointer mix female who is mostly housebroken, crate trained, good with other dogs and current on all shots and deworming.  She's already spayed and heartworm negative, too!  She's a sweetheart who loves to run and play, so a fenced yard would be perfect for her!!!  Good on a leash, she also comes when called if loose in the yard.  She's make a great addition to a fun-loving, active family!

Blackjack is between 5-6 months old.  This little guy was abandoned with his littermates and was living on whatever he could find, sleeping in his abandoned house.  Luckily, he was saved and is now living at Susan's with the rest of the puppies, learning that not all people will abandon him!  Current on age appropriate shots and deworming.  Jack is shy when he first meets a stranger, but quickly establishes trust.  There's a great dog in there!!

  10-month old Molly is extremely sweet and very cooperative with her humans!  She is quiet and a bit shy and appreciates people who love her ...she will do well with older children and will make a great addition to a family that does or does not already have other pets.  She is very quiet in the house and likes nothing more than lying on a dog bed in the living room.  She is crate trained and loves to sleep in her crate which is always full of her stuffed animals.  She is leash trained and house trained.  Molly has been spayed and is up to date on all her shots, as well as on heartworm pills and flea prevention. 

 MISSY is another refugee from Hurricane Irene.  She was picked up as a stray in the New Bern area and taken to an emergency shelter where she faced euthanasia when the shelter closed.  Luckily, our friends at the Humane Society called us about this gorgeous 6-7 month old chocolate lab girl and we brought her to live at the Ranch.  She's current on all shots and deworming, is spayed, and ready to go!  Missy requires a fenced yard and a family with older children (no one under 7 years old).
