CONGRATULATIONS TO FORMER RANCH RESIDENT HAILEY BRAUTIGAM ON HER RECENT GRADUATION FROM "BEGINNER" TRAINING CLASS! KARIN REPORTS THAT HAILEY IS THE CLASS CLOWN!!!
Congratulations to our friend Lisa Carlson! Lisa was the adoption coordinator at Johnston County Animal Services and has recently received a much-deserved promotion -- She is now the Shelter Manager! Way to go, girl!

Rest in Peace Aquilla - 2000 - 2011
With heavy hearts we said "goodbye" to Aquilla late last month. Her tumor became too much for her to bear, and as her mobility, appetite and will to live waned, we decided to help her cross the Rainbow Bridge. She was loving and kind to the very end. Thank you, Dr. Cotten, Lisa and Danella for helping make Aquilla's crossing so peaceful. We'll miss you, big girl, but we'll see you again.
We'd like to wish Trinity Davis a big "Happy 10th Birthday" and a heart-felt THANK YOU from the residents here at the Ranch. Trinity chose not to receive presents for her birthday - instead, she asked her family and friends to donate towards the purchase of dog food for the Ranch and the SPCA of Wake County. What a wonderful gesture, Trinity, and we really appreciate it!

We love hearing when our former residents do wonderful things! Buddy (now called "Ruger") has been trained by owner Dave Sheehan for waterfowl hunting. Here is Ruger with one day's catch!!
Way to go, big guy!!

Meet ABBY JARRELL (formerly known as "Snowflake") the resident PET THERAPIST at Sarahcare at Lake Boone Trail Adult Day Care Center! Abby goes to work every day with mom, Marcia Jarrell, and she hangs out with the participants - goes for walks in the garden, lies at their feet, and generally makes everyone feel so much better about themselves!!

Ruf Creek Ranch's Adopters of the Month!!
We We salute our adopters of the month for November - the Sharpe Family of Raleigh/Wake Forest, NC. Colleen, Tom and the family took a chance on a baby that was part of the litter found in the woods in Roanoke Rapids and spoiled her to death! She loves big brother ASH, and goes between the family home here and their vacation home in the Mountains. Maddison's bubbly personality has brought other adopters to the Ranch, even resulting in the adoption of one of her brothers!!!
